Marauder in the UK……in pieces.

Last month the largest piece of a B26 Marauder in the UK finally came out of storage and went on display to the public at the small museum at the former UA Army Air force aerodrome at Boxted near Colchester in Essex. You can see a picture of this at:

The October 2011 edition of Aeroplane Magazine will feature articles on the B26. On sale at newsagents from August 31st. There is a 17 page special on the Marauder including a full colour picture of a 39th sqdn RAF B26 coded A

French B26 moves from Paris to Utah beach museum

Yes, she has come closer to Blighty! The only complete Marauder in Europe is the French restored B26G. She has been moved from the Le Bourget Aerospace Museum outside Paris to a museum at Utah Beach on the Normandy coast at Ste Marie du Mont. The Marauder will be in the colours of 505 Sqdn USAAF and named Dinah Might for the next six years. You can see her here:
